Students/Career entry

Are you looking to start your career straight from training or university, or are you looking for a career change? With us, you will have the opportunity to make a difference from day one. Whether you want to broaden your expertise, gain project experience or take advantage of our training and talent programmes, we will support your development. From internships to dissertations and student jobs, we give you the chance to put your theoretical knowledge into practice and make important contacts for your career.

Unlock Your Future with Us

Have you decided on a technical bachelor's degree and the study regulations require a pre- or basic internship by the third semester as a prerequisite for admission? In various areas of DEUTZ, the modules required by the university for the pre- or basic internship can be completed over a period of six weeks to three months in machining production technology, assembly, quality control, etc.

Our aim is to get you excited about the world of engines by giving you the opportunity to work on small projects and exciting tasks for three to six months. You will receive intensive technical support and have access to training opportunities.

Are you about to finish your Bachelor's or Master's degree and would like to write a practice-oriented thesis?

DEUTZ offers exciting opportunities to combine the academic rigour of a university with the practical experience of an industrial company. We always have interesting technical and commercial topics that are suitable for a dissertation. We provide intensive support to ensure that these are a complete success for the students. Together we can make the most of the students' theoretical knowledge and at the same time provide us with results that we can use in our projects.

Even if a specific topic has already been agreed with the university, we are happy to receive unsolicited applications. We are open to suggestions and will check whether we can accommodate the request in one of our specialist areas.

Students who want to work and earn money alongside their studies can join us as working students. You will be employed in an area that matches your specialisation and will support our employees with day-to-day business or project work.

We offer an exciting dual study programme that combines theory and practice. With us, you can help shape the future of engine technology and take on responsibility right from the start. We cooperate with the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Cologne and the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences to offer you a first-class education. Start your career at DEUTZ AG and become part of an innovative company that is redefining the boundaries of engine technology.

WHAT WE OFFER DURING THE TRAINING

We place great emphasis on the practical training and development of our students. Experienced and pedagogically trained instructors impart knowledge and skills that meet the highest standards. Our trainers use state-of-the-art training equipment.

In-house training plans ensure that the content of each job profile is conveyed in the best possible way - for example, through placements in the training workshop and in various company departments, providing a constant alternation of theory and practice.

Our internal company school provides the perfect complement to the vocational school. The skills week and project work, for example, are a matter of course for us. We also encourage independent work, communication skills, teamwork and personal responsibility.

Intensive training for the final examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce rounds off the apprenticeship with us.
