Information on processing of applicant data
DEUTZ AG appreciates your visit to our career site and your interest in our company. We take the protection of your private data very seriously and want you to feel comfortable when visiting our website. The protection of your privacy when processing personal data is an important concern for us, which we consider in our business processes. We process data that is collected when visiting our website in accordance with the data protection regulations of the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Collection and processing of personal data
The data controller shall collect and process the personal data of applicants for the purpose of the processing of the application procedure. The processing may also be carried out electronically. This is the case, in particular, if an applicant submits corresponding application documents by e-mail or by means of a web form on the website (or the candidate portal) to the controller. As part of the application process, the interviews required to establish an employment relationship may also take place virtually. For this purpose, the controller regularly uses the Microsoft application TEAMS. Information on data processing when using Microsoft Teams can be found here: docs.microsoft.com/de-de/microsoftteams/teams-privacy. In addition, we receive data from third parties (e.g. job placement). We also process personal data that we have permissibly obtained from publicly accessible sources (e.g. professional networks).
The legal basis for the processing of your applicant data is based on Art. 88 (1) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. If you give your consent that we include your data in our applicant pool and/or send you further information on vacancies, this processing is based on your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
We process the following personal data:
your master data (such as first name, last name, name affixes, date of birth)
if applicable, work permit / residence permit
contact details (e.g. private address, (mobile) telephone number, e-mail address)
Other information that you voluntarily provide to us as part of your application (e.g. application photo, gender, work history, driving licence class, skill data, etc.),
Documents provided (certificates, attestations),
special categories of personal data, if they are relevant to the job advertised (e.g. health suitability, trade union membership).
Your personal application data will be used exclusively for the purpose of filling the advertised position. We do not use any purely automated processing procedures in the decision-making process. As a matter of principle, your data will only be forwarded to the internal departments and departments responsible for the specific application procedure. Your personal application data will not be passed on to other companies associated with DEUTZ without your prior, express consent.
Among other things, we use tools from companies outside the EU. These third countries do not always have a GDPR adequate level of data protection. An arbitrary access by investigative authorities can therefore not be completely ruled out, which can affect data subjects' rights and freedoms. Deutz has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the processed data.
Your applicant data will not be used beyond this or passed on to third parties.
Your online application
After entering and transmitting your data, it is transferred directly via an encrypted connection to the server of our external service provider. All data is encrypted by TLS procedure.
Retention period of the application data
Your personal application data will be automatically erased six months after the application process is completed. This does not apply if legal regulations prevent erasure, if further storage is necessary for the purpose of providing evidence or if you have expressly agreed to longer storage.
When you become a DEUTZ employee, we will transfer your application documents to your personnel file.
Applicant pool and further information
If your application for the requested position is unsuccessful, you will have the opportunity to decide during the application process whether or not you would like to be included in our applicant pool. If you decide to do so, we will store your data beyond the storage period of 6 months in order to include you as a candidate in other job offers, when applicable. Your data will be stored until you withdraw your consent.
Furthermore, you can decide whether you would like to receive information about new job vacancies and/or learn more about general career opportunities at DEUTZ. By clicking on the corresponding checkboxes, you give your consent to this.
If you do not consent to the above options, you will not be affected in any way. However, it will then not be possible for you to be included in the
Data security
The security of your data collected during the application process is very important to us. For this reason, we have taken sufficient technical and organizational measures to ensure that only those persons who require the collected information in order to carry out their work task have access to it.
Your rights as an applicant / rights of data subjects
If you have any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal application data or regarding information, rectification or erasure of data as well as the withdrawal of the granted consent or if you wish to object to the processing, please contact our Human Resources Department or our data protection officer.
You have the right to request that the processing be restricted. You also have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to DEUTZ in a structured, common and machine-readable format and to transfer this data to another responsible party.
